HarperCollins Joins
Carbon Drive

HarperCollins, publishers of popular literature, joined the growing force of organisations limiting carbon emissions, announcing all Fourth Estate books are to be printed on 100% recycled paper.

The decision was based on a consumer survey that revealed 84% of people would rather buy a book made from recycled paper than normal paper. One third of 1,500 people surveyed were prepared to pay more. The publishers also use green renewable energy, such as ecotricity, in all their offices.
